Dimensi Positif dan Normatif Ekonomika

Abstract

Much of the difficulty of understanding economic activities surrounds our inability to maintain a set of economic principles to which everyone adheres. This article presents some of the economic principles that have dominated economic literature over the last three decades. The problem is that most economic thought is normative rather than positive. Normative ideas are driven by a pursuit of how things should be. Traditionally, normative ideas are built on inductive reasoning. Positive ideas concentrate on explaining why things are the way they are. They deduce their conclusions from the investigation of data.
