Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of motivation and self-efficacy on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among female civil servants in the Regional Secretariat of Probolinggo Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 69 female civil servant respondents, selected using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data were analyzed using Path Analysis to examine direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that motivation significantly influences employee performance (β = 0.425; p < 0.05) and self-efficacy significantly influences employee performance (β = 0.383; p < 0.05). Additionally, job satisfaction mediates the relationship between motivation and employee performance (β = 0.112; p < 0.05), but does not mediate the relationship between self-efficacy and performance (p > 0.05). These findings suggest that improving the performance of female civil servants can be achieved through a combination of enhanced motivation, increased self-efficacy, and job satisfaction as a supporting factor.
