This study examines the influence of leadership style and conflict on employee performance, with communication serving as a mediating factor at the Regional Secretariat of Mojokerto City. The research is motivated by organizational dynamics marked by leadership changes and internal conflicts that may lower employee productivity. The objective is to identify the relationships among leadership style, conflict, and performance while testing the mediating role of communication. A quantitative, explanatory approach was employed using questionnaires for data collection and analysis through multiple linear regression and path analysis. The findings reveal that leadership style exerts a positive and significant impact on performance, conflict negatively affects performance, and effective communication significantly mediates these relationships. The study implies that enhancing organizational communication is essential to boost leadership effectiveness and mitigate the adverse effects of conflict, ultimately achieving optimal organizational performance.
